IAAF response: Unqualified athletes
Please note that the rule for entering unqualified athletes has changed.
From now on, Members Federations who have no male and/or no female qualified athletes may enter one unqualified male athlete OR one unqualified female athlete – not BOTH – in one individual event (except the 10,000m, 3000mSteeplechase and the Combined Events).
The Entry of unqualified athletes in Field Events and Road Events (Marathon and Race Walks) will be at the discretion of the Technical Delegates.
