The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the List of Prohibited Substances and Methods for 2022 that will come into effect on 01 January 2022, which are banned from use within sport. The key updates to the 2022 Prohibited List are listed below:

All athletes are reminded to check the status of their medication prescribed by doctors or bought over-the-counter at pharmacies in Singapore via ADS online database “CheckDrugs”, which is accessible from the ADS website at www.ads.gov.sg. Athletes based in or travelling to Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Switzerland for training or competitions can check the Global Drug Reference Online database www.globaldro.com for medication purchased in these countries.

All carded athletes who need to be prescribed medication or methods of treatment that are prohibited should apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) to ADS before using it.
