Team Singapore total haul is 14 medals. 2 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze.
Gold – 2 medals
Gold medal by Wei Guan Chong (Lane 5) in the 110mH 0.914m boys final at SEA Youth with a timing of 14.33s 0.5m/s.
Tia Louise Rozario gold medal in the long jump girls final at SEA Youth with an effort of 5.85m 0.2m/s.
Silver – 7 medals
Silver medal by Ting Jia Wang (53.79m) in the boys javelin 700gm
Another silver for Singapore at SEA Youth in the 800m boys event by Thiruben Thanarajan (Right of photo), 1:57.07 PB.
Silver for Singapore at SEA Youth in the 3000m boys event by Syed Hussein Aljunied, 9:10.98 PB.
Silver medal by Sacin Esan Maran (3.80m) in the boys pole vault.
Silver medal by Ernest Ong (13.76m 0.9m/s) in the boys triple jump and bronze medal by Arfan bin Azhar (13.70m 1.2m/s).

**Performances have to be from 1 January 2017 to 5 April 2017
Please adhere to the following selection policy and criteria set by Singapore Athletics & Training & Selection Committee:
-
a) Selection Standards are based on up to 20% off the SEA Games Average Bronze Benchmark
b) Qualifying window is from 1 January 2017 to 5 April 2017
c) Athletes who meet the selection standards outside of the qualifying window can send an appeal to SAA via email to Dr Tan Ming Jen (Head of Athlete’s Commission) SAA
d) There is an athlete entry quota for each event.
e) In the event where the number of athletes who meet the selection standards exceed the given quota, SAA reserves the right to select the best performing athletes based on the quota number.
Eg: Discus has a quota of 3 and there are 7 athletes who meet the standards, SAA would select 3 of the best athlete based on 2017 performance only.
f) For 100m and 400m, athletes would be considered in the 4x100m and 4x400m relay team respectively. 200m and hurdle athletes would also be considered for the relays.
g) Athletes will participate in the event they qualified in. Any additional event would be subject to SAA approval.
h) Only Singapore citizens are nominated for this competition
i) All National Relay Training Team athletes will be considered for both individual and team events.
j) Youth or Junior athletes who are involved with National Schools but have also qualified for Singapore Open need to get clearance from the school and MOE before submission are made to SAA.

Terms & Conditions
- All performances must be achieved during the period of 1 January 2017 to 5 April 2017
- All performances must be achieved during an official competition organized in conformity with IAAF rules.
- All performances must be achieved during an official competition organized and sanctioned by the IAAF, its Area Association or Singapore Athletic Association.
- Wind assisted performances (over +2.0m/s) will not be accepted
- Hand-Timed performances will not be accepted
- All athletes who are nominated and selected will have to attend all Team Training, Briefing & Camps.
- SAA reserves the right to select only medically fit athletes who have qualified.
