Records Breaking Incentives for 2012

• Open Record – $300 for athlete, $150 for Coach.
• Junior Record (Under 20 yrs old) – $200 for athlete, $100 for Coach.
• Youth Record (Under 18 Yrs old) – $100 for athlete, $50 for Coach.
• Relay Record (Double the amount to be given to the team and coach receives the normal amount. If there is more than one coach then the coaches amount will be double).
• Each record breaker will be limited to a maximum of 5 payments per event per year (but their effort will be considered in the annual SAA sports award).
• A record breaker in one event but in multiple categories will paid for only the highest category.
• All other records U15, U17, U19, U23 are for updating only and will no longer be recognized for any monetary award.
• All records can only be recognize and rectified by proper submission of documents to SAA for endorsement.
• All payment will be paid out only at the end of the year.

Please refer to the IAAF Competition Rules 2012-2013 (RULE 141 – Age and Sex Categories) for the various age-group definition set by IAAF.

All payments will seize from the moment an athlete is caught for banned substance abuse and other misdemeanors considered serious enough by SAA to warrant such punitive action.
